Fare thee well season 42

Written by Team Guy at 18:15 22/11-2017

So Team Guy's final race of the season is in the rear-view mirror and it's time to reflect on another year of steady progress.
Team Captain Dino Bisicchia enjoyed his best season to date, picking up a first career victory at the Interlaken Grand Prix in addition to 4 other podium finishes.
Esteban Reyes also picked up a victory this season at the Vrhovine Climbs and performed domestique duties admirably with a handful of other top ten finishes. He also had a good showing at the inaugural Tour of the Sanreizan, with two top 5 stage finishes.
Here he was outshone though by the slightly more experienced Taras Murogov. The squad's former leader showed great consistency to finish 7th overall and 2nd in the best young rider competition.
Meanwhile veteran downhill specialist Matthis Sogaard had declared himself ready to retire, but has recently agreed to continue on for one more year.
At the other end of the spectrum, Soner Talip had a slightly disappointing season, finishing 4th, 7th & 12th in the under-23 races he prioritised. His future looks destined to be that of a mountain domestique.
Finishing the season in the middle of division 5 represents the best performance yet for Team Guy, hopefully Season 43 will bring further success, and an exciting new prospect from Belgium, Emery Lefevre is ready to join the squad.
